Domaine Aventurier Outfitter – Regulations and Policies
1. Practical Information for Your Stay
- Check-in: 3:00 PM
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
- Reservation: Minimum stay of 2 nights.
What You Need to Bring:
- Food and beverages
- Drinking water (Note: Running water on-site is NON-POTABLE. Please bring enough drinking water for your entire stay.)
- Toilet paper, towels, and dishcloths
- Complete bedding (blankets, sheets, pillowcases, sleeping bags)
- Valid fishing and boating licenses (if you plan to fish or go out on the water)
Included with Your Cottage Rental:
- Dishes, cookware, and utensils
- Stove/oven, refrigerator, kettle, and toaster
- Dish soap, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 garbage bags
- BBQ and propane
- 24/7 electricity (supplied by Hydro-Québec, barring power outages)
- Vehicle parking (included with cottage rental)
2. Watercraft Rentals & Amenities
Watercraft rentals are available in limited quantities. To guarantee availability, please include them with your reservation or contact us at 819-431-7789.
- Motorboats: Rental includes the motor, gas, lifejackets, and mandatory marine safety equipment.
- Other Watercraft: Paddleboard (SUP) and kayak rentals are also available.
- Dock Slips: Available for $25/day upon reservation. Slip assignments are provided at check-in. Boat fenders are MANDATORY.
- Wi-Fi: Free Wi-Fi is available 24/7 around the main reception building only.
Important Note – Fishing Licenses: Hunting and fishing licenses are not sold on-site. However, they can be purchased online using the lodge’s Wi-Fi network.
3. Site Rules & Regulations
- Parking & Trailers: Vehicles must be parked at your assigned site (no exceptions). A dedicated parking area is provided for trailers; directions will be given at check-in.
- Quiet Hours: 11:00 PM.
- Speed Limit: 10 km/h across the entire property.
- Off-Road Vehicles (ATVs, Side-by-Sides, Motocross): No recreational driving allowed on-site. Vehicles must only be used to travel directly from your site to federated trails, hunting areas, or fishing spots.
- Water Safety & Swimming:
- Swimming is unsupervised and entirely at your own risk.
- Children must not be left unsupervised while swimming or near the docks.
- Cleanliness & Environment: Please keep the grounds clean by disposing of garbage in designated areas. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
- Cottage Rules:
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all rental units.
- No motors or batteries may be stored inside the cottages.
- Pets:
- Allowed for campsite guests only (strictly prohibited inside cottages).
- Must wear a collar and be kept on a leash at all times across the grounds.
- Pet waste must be picked up immediately.
- Pets must not disturb the peace or interrupt other guests.
4. Payment, Security Deposit & Cancellation Policies
Accepted Payment Methods On-Site:
Cash, Interac Debit, Visa, Mastercard.
Booking & Cancellation Terms:
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to confirm any reservation.
- Cancellations over 30 days prior: A refund equal to 25% of the original 50% deposit will be issued back to your credit card.
- Cancellations under 30 days prior: The guest remains fully responsible for the reservation, and the 50% deposit will be forfeited as liquidated damages.
- Inclement Weather: No refunds or rate adjustments will be made due to poor weather conditions.
Security Deposit (Hold at Check-In):
Upon arrival, a $200 pre-authorization hold will be placed on your credit card for cottage rentals. This hold covers:
- Damage to the accommodations or rented equipment
- Excessive cleaning fees beyond normal wear and tear
- Non-compliance with smoking restrictions inside
- Unauthorized late check-outs
If no damages or extra fees apply, the hold will be released after inspection. The processing time for the hold to clear depends on your financial institution.
5. Guest Responsibilities & Legal Disclaimer
Guests must return the cottage, site grounds, watercraft, and rented equipment in the same condition as received. Damages caused by misuse or lost equipment will be billed to the client. It is your responsibility to inspect and report any missing or damaged items upon arrival.

Pourvoirie Domaine Aventurier inc. assumes no liability for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings (we recommend locking your cottage when away).
- Accidents, injuries, or illnesses resulting from the guest's or their group's own fault.
- Incidents related to personal recreational vehicles brought onto the property.
By accepting this booking, the primary client and their guests accept all inherent risks associated with their stay. (The term "client" refers to the primary guest as well as all accompanying party members.)
